![]() For miles and miles you can walk and see these little stucco homes, these little wood homes. They’re like cottages. Some yuppies call them bungalows, and I suppose they are bungalows, but they’re really small and old and smelly. And if you’ve ever been out west or out east, you think while you’re walking through all these neighborhoods, “Jesus Christ this city is flat.” Then go to Amsterdam one time, or to Antwerp. I’ll show you flat. Minneapolis is right across the river from my hometown, St. Paul. After high school, everyone decent I knew left St. Paul and went to Minneapolis, as if they were moving away from home. T.’s mom lived in one of those little cottage bungalow things. So that’s where T. lived. South Minnie. It smelled musty in that house. |
